General Facilities

The school is situated in extensive 36 acre grounds and is equipped with a wide range of modern facilities. There are extensive sports fields, tennis courts, a gymnasium, a swimming pool and a recently developed fitness gym. 

There is also a dedicated 6th form block and over 14 networked computer rooms. There are over 700 modern computers in use on the school site with full internet access.

The school is well provided with a number of specialist teaching facilities including 9 Science Laboratories, a Modern Design Technology area, Art and Ceramics areas, a purpose built Drama Studio and a modern music suite with practice rooms.

New facilities have also been developed to provide specialist accommodation for a range of courses including Business & ICT, Media Studies, Leisure & Tourism, Performing Arts and digital Photography.

Bryn Hafren provides an attractive and welcoming learning environment which pupils can be proud to be part of.

This is encouraged by the provision of such features as enclosed gardens and picnic tables and benches.

The Learning Resource Centre is the focus of a range of facilities which are provided to support pupils in their work. The Learning Resource Centre provides pupils with computers, CD ROM's audio-visual and reprographics equipment, as well as an attractive and well-stocked library.

There is a wide range of food available in Bryn Hafren, for both pupils and staff.

Breakfast is served by the canteen from 8.00 to 8.30 am daily.

At breaktime pupils and staff can purchase snacks or packed lunches.

Vending Machines also dispence food at set times of the day.

At lunchtime there is a full service providing full meals plus sandwiches and hot snacks.
